The primary heat entry point. Blocking it here stops the problem at the source before it reaches any room.

West & south walls

These faces get 6-8 hours of brutal direct sunlight. Heat conducts straight through and warms the rooms behind them.

False ceiling

For apartments or top-floor portions where roof access is limited, no disruption, 60-70% of over-roof benefit.

Roof insulation method: RCC roof slab, waterproofing layer, TKG insulation sheets with staggered and taped joints, thin plastic sheet, roofing as desired

Roof Insulation

RCC roof slab → waterproofing → TKG insulation sheets, joints staggered & taped → thin plastic sheet → roofing as desired

The waterproofing layer has to be verified first, water-based or oil-based both work, but it must be checked and sealed before the sheets go down. Once that's confirmed, TKG sheets block heat transfer before it ever reaches the slab.

False ceiling method: RCC roof slab, TKG sheets attached with adhesive, false ceiling framework, gypsum false ceiling aesthetic finish

False Ceiling

RCC roof slab → TKG sheets, attached with adhesive → false ceiling framework → gypsum false ceiling, aesthetic finish

No roof access needed. Same method whether the home is new or already built, works well for apartments and top-floor tenancies too.

West & south walls especially

Wall insulation

One method for existing walls, one that only works if you're building new.

Wall insulation method: wall brick block or RCC, adhesive, TKG EPS sheets, mesh wire, cement-based plaster, paint or design finish

Wall (brick / block / RCC) → adhesive → TKG EPS sheets → mesh wire (kukar ke jali) → cement-based plaster → any paint or design finish

Internal wall insulation or external, works either side. Works for new construction or existing homes, no cavity needed.

Cavity wall method: outer brick wall, TKG EPS sheets in the cavity, inner block wall
New construction only

Cavity Wall Insulation

Outer brick → TKG EPS sheets in the cavity → inner brick/block wall

Only possible while building, the cavity has to be built in as the walls go up. Creates a continuous thermal break that can't be added after the fact.
